Introduction

We’ve always wanted to host a holiday Night Market at Sneinton Market Avenues, but it’s a difficult time of year to have a mostly-outdoor market based on pop-up gazebos, which is our go-to plan! It’s likely going to be cold, and there’s a risk of high winds.

We have places to put traders’ tables in the undercrofts, protected from rain and snow. The undercrofts have access to electricity for lighting and heaters, as well. But the undercrofts aren’t visible from outside Sneinton Market; you can’t tell anyone is there from the surrounding streets. We want the Avenues to be lively and lit up, not just the spaces in between the buildings.

We are accepting vehicle or trailer-based pitches and commercial, wind rated gazebos. We will have traders in pitches-on-wheels and heavy duty gazebos on the Avenues, traders on tables in the undercrofts, traders inside MinorOak, and many of the tenants’ units open for retail. All pitches will have access to electrical and we encourage everyone to include lights in their presentation.

Many of the tenants will participate in the market too, decorating theri units, staying open late and in some cases expanding onto the Avenues.

Since vans are most popular with food traders, we’d have a larger than usual percentage of food traders on the Avenues, but that’s okay! However, people who are selling gifts and have mobile shops would be highly valued.

The date is 13 December 2025, 3-8pm. We have the festoon lighting and lights for the entrances to the undercrofts ready to go. We have around 35 traders signed up and have openings for a few more.
