Have you ever wanted to design your own tabletop game? Got a great idea for a board game, but haven’t got a clue how to go about making one? Have you designed their first game, but can’t figure out why it isn’t working like you want it to? Do you just want to know more about how we design games? Join us for our Introduction to Game Design Courses and we’ll tell you want you want to know!

This ticket grants you access to a full day with Sophie and James from Needy Cat Games. If you don’t know, they’re the brains behind bestselling tabletop games such as Hellboy: The Board Game, Blitz Bowl, Adeptus Titanicus and many more!

This is the second of three courses designed to give you an insight into our design process and help you achieve your own game design goals. Each one is limited to twelve places, so you’ll have plenty of time to engage with us directly and ask us any questions you have!

Ink it Over: Relief Printing with Wonky Veg Workshop, Morning

What’s Involved:

In the spirit of upcycling and zero waste, Ink it Over will show students how to cut designs into different vegetables and use them to create patterns and textures on re-cycled pieces of paper and fabric. This is a great workshop for people who are interested in creating their own repeated patterns.

What you need to bring:

Students will have to provide their own aprons or protective clothing. Vegetables will be provided but if you would like to some vegetables in addition to this it will not be discouraged. Paper and fabric will be provided; however, if there is a specific item that you wish to print on, you are more than welcome to bring it along.

Be ready to create beautiful, rainbow prints using feathers and other found objects to celebrate Pride. Each student will come away with their own banner!

What you need to bring:

Students will have to provide their own aprons or protective clothing. If you would like, you can bring some feathers or textured items such as lace, dried leaves and flowers to print with. Paper and fabric will be provided; however, if there is a specific item that you wish to print on, you are more than welcome to bring it along.
